Elyse & Mark Disco Bay Wedding 6-20-2009

Elyse & Mark we're married on their back deck overlooking the water. The weather actually cooperated and gave us a beautiful day!
Kelly was catching the action with the girls getting ready while I got the guys preparing.
The ceremony was short and sweet and it was a festive gathering. The couple looked great and obviously loved each other.
We suggested to Elyse and Mark that we get some photos at the front entrance at the Discovery Bay sign. We had our car ready to go and whisked them away like celebrities.
During our brief shoot on the sign passing motorists honked and waived.
Near the end of the festivities Elyse and Mark changed into their "wedding boating attire", jumped into their boat, and motored off in dramatic fashion.
We submitted a few photos to the local press and they published this one.
We had such a great time with Elyse & Mark and enjoyed meeting their family and friends.

Caitlin & Andrew Engagement 6-14-2009

We met Caitlin & Andrew at the Nines Brentwood Golf Course to discuss their May 2010 wedding photography. We talked while the sun set lower in the sky then started the engagement photography session.
Everyone has their own vision of what they want in their photos and Caitlin said they were leaning toward fun and light.
Andrew is a Marine and was a good sport during our photoshoot. We all got to know each other much better and that should make the wedding photography go great. It will be like reuniting with old friends!
Congratulations Caitlin & Andrew! We can't wait for your big day. It will be amazing!

Kids Photoshoot 6-13-2009

We went to Kristen's house on the Discovery Bay Golf Course to photograph her children. She wanted a nice surprise gift for her husband and her dad for father's day.
We went out onto an unused part of the golf course with Kristen, her three kids and dog, Bailey. The kids had plenty of energy, but Bailey was a different story. Apparently Bailey finds posing for the camera exhausting!
But we got lots of great shots of the kids acting natural and even talked Kristen into some of the shots. She looked great too!
Afterward, Kelly and I went through the photos and picked out the best for a slideshow montage set to Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink". Kristen requested this song and it was perfect! The only problem, apparently, is that no one can seem to watch the video and keep from sobbing!
We had a blast with the family and look forward to helping more families capture a small slice of the love!

Toni & Gerard Engagement Photoshoot @ The Nines

Wednesday morning we met Toni & Gerard at one of our favorite places, the Nines Brentwood Golf Course, for an engagement photoshoot. Toni needed a photograph to send out announcements for their wedding in December.
Before our shoot Toni had sent us some samples of the type of shots she wanted, something vintage looking.

The couple showed up very nicely dressed and excited to go to work. Toni has beautiful piercing eyes. Gerard is also photogenic and a great sport.

We got them all of their photos that same night and even put together a slick slideshow for them that we plan on showing at their wedding reception.
We enjoyed meeting Toni & Gerard and look forward to their wedding. Now that we have already worked together we know that it will go great getting photos at their wedding.

Mother Daughter (and puppy) Photo Shoot

We met Tiffany and her daughter Jenna at Diablo Shores Monday evening for their photoshoot. Tiffany had seen the Lucy/Richie shoot and wanted one too.
It's hard to go wrong taking photographs of a beautiful mother and daughter, not to mention their cute puppy, Chille, who tried to steal the show!
We submitted one shot to the local newspaper and they promptly ran it on the front page.
Tiffany was excited to see what we had shot so we quickly put together a nice slideshow for her and invited her to our home to view it. Luckily we had plenty of tissues on hand because there wasn't a dry eye in the house!
